Colleagues flee as rebels advance


Some Yaounde based friends, and colleagues of ours, visiting missionary families in Gamboula, Central African Republic, had to flee their homes as rebels overtook the city yesterday. In fact, their houses were looted just 15 minutes after they fled, heading for the Cameroon border where they made it safely by bush roads as the rebels had closed off the main route. At one point the military passed them up as they too were fleeing.
