Bootcamp

Today we started our orientation to living in Africa. It is a five week course that includes many topics like foods & nutrition, preparing food in Cameroon, medical, clothing & greetings, African traditional religion and much more. The day begins with devotions and then class. Today was an introduction to foods and nutrition and we got to sample juices made from flowers, roasted seeds similar to sunflower seeds and more.

Some of the many varieties of beans, peppers, spices, plantains (looks like a banana but they are actually a vegetable), nuts and more.

Child care is provided for children who are not in school. Slone was well taken care of, and here he is enjoying a snack, one in each hand actually.

After class and lunch today we found a playground with an awesome tire swing.
